This invention is aimed at creating technologies for covering goods in open-top wagons that can effectively isolate them from the external environment and localize the cargo within the wagon, preventing chemical reactions between the product and the surrounding environment.
It prevents the natural loss of cargo due to spillage or blowing away, as well as getting wet under precipitation.
The technology developed ensures reliable protection under diverse weather conditions and during long-distance transport. Furthermore, it helps reduce economic losses while enhancing cargo safety and preservation
In the unfolded state, the liner represents a reservoir in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped, repeating the inner space of the open-top wagon. It is made from laminated polypropylene fabric. The liner’s outer seams are additionally sealed, and the inner all-welded polyethylene envelope finally insulates the load from possible wetting and spilling.
The size and number of loading arms vary depending on the loading method and technology and can be modified at the customer’s request.
PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF WAGON LINER WITH FILLING SPOUTS
The installation of wagon liners requires the prior mounting of a metal frame inside the wagon. After that, bulk materials are loaded through the liner’s neck. Once the cargo is loaded, the frame is detached, and the necks are tied up, after which the open-top wagon is ready for dispatch.
Unloading at the destination is carried out into a bunker through the unloading hatches (the WLFS fabric is cut open at these points).
The used liner is subject to disposal.
WAGON LINER ADVANTAGES
Tested method of bulk transportation of fine bulk cargo (cement, alumina, burnt lime, etc.)
Eliminate the need to use hopper wagons cement trucks
Dusting or wetting during loading is reduced to almost «0»
Existence of an internal polyethylene all-welded layer
Additional external sealing of seams
100% protection of cargo against precipitation, spilling, blowing on the way
